13 Iranian films join Italy’s River Film Festival

A lineup of 13 Iranian films has joined the 13th River Film Festival in Italy.

The festival’s lineup includes ‘Short Wave’ directed by Mohammad Esmaeeli, ‘The Hunt’ by Masoud Kazerouni and Saeed Mayahi’s ‘Flight 655’.

‘Rejhan’ made by Sara Moallem, ‘Fish’ by Mohammad Rahimian, ‘Brake’ by Majid Salimi, Parinaz Hashemi’s ‘A Girl from Parsian’ and ‘Cut’ by Mehrdad Bakhshi are also among the Iranian films that will be featured at the festival.

The short animated films ‘Starvation’ by Zahra Rostampour, ‘Father’ directed by Abedin Ramezani, Barzan Rostami’s ‘Balance’ and ‘The Fox’ by Sadeq Javadi-Nikjeh will also represent Iran at the gala.

The River Film Festival is an international festival of shorts. The 13th edition of the event will take place in the Italian city of Padova on June 4-30, 2019.
